Bilborough College, Nottinghamshire
Bilborough sixth form college commissioned Principal Chris Bradford says: ‘We deal in young people’s futures so the environmental concerns were one of the things that drove us,’ he says. “But it also makes a lot of sense financially and we wanted to take advantage of that and plan for the future.’ EvoEnergy have installed a 100 kWp system on the roof of their sports hall. It will provide around 8% of the college’s annual electricity and will be worth at least £18,000 a year in income and savings on energy bills. It will also save 41,858 kg of carbon a year.
