EvoEnergy CEO wins Ernst & Young Award

Dr Kevin Hard, our Chief Executive Officer has been presented with an award at the Ernst & Young North and Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year 2011, recognising him as an Entrepreneur in the field of Cleantech and Renewables.

Kevin was presented with the award at a dinner on Tuesday 28th June at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester, where he was recognised as the best in the region.

The awards were sponsored by Credit Suisse and were hosted by BBC Journalist and Presenter Jeremy Vine. It recognises the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. Candidates for the award needed to display passion, drive and entrepreneurial spirit in their business dealings so we were proud that Kevin was recognised for his work. The awards were decided by a panel of 12 Judges from the region, including Alan White, the Chairman of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and John Pettigrew, Chief Operating Officer of the National Grid.

Being recognised for our CEO’s entrepreneurial spirit and vision in Cleantech and Renewables is a fantastic achievement and we are delighted. Since it was founded by Kevin in 2007, EvoEnergy has been designing, installing and maintaining Solar PV panel systems for both domestic and commercial use. We help our customers to secure their energy futures. The award recognises that Kevin is “a compelling leader who embodies entrepreneurial spirit”, which has allowed him to drive the company forward.

Ernst & Young’s partner lead for Entrepreneur of the Year for the region said of Kevin that his “success has stemmed from his entrepreneurial market vision and empowering others. He has constantly strived to achieve excellence and by recognising the true value of his employees and commitment to his clients he has gained great success. Entrepreneurs will play an extremely important role in the economic recovery in the region and Kevin’s success is testament to his passion and commitment to his business.”
