Investing in Photovoltaics
A PV Solar system generally requires an investment of at least nine thousand pounds (including VAT at 5%). This covers a fully installed system including pv solar panels, inverter, labour, mounting system, electrical connections, designs and all consultancy help. Working the assumption of an average system it is expected to take around 10 years to return the initial investment.
You can expect your Solar PV system to operate for more than 20 years provided it is well-designed.

In April 2010, the Government introduced the Feed-in Tariff, also known as the Clean Energy Cashback Scheme.
The scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by the system for 25 years, it is Retail Price Index-linked and therefore recently went up 4.8% to compensate for inflation.

On 1st April 2010 the Government introduced the Feed-in Tariffs (FITs) to encourage new investment in low carbon green technologies such as Solar PV, Wind Turbines, Hydro Generators and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) units.
Under the FITs, anyone who installs an eligible Solar PV system will receive a guaranteed fixed payment for all the electricity they generate, including what they use, for a period of 25 years.
They will also receive an additional payment for any electricity they don't use that they feed back into the National Grid. To top it all off, people installing systems will also benefit from reduced electricity bills as they'll effectively become their own power stations and so won't need to use as much from electricity suppliers and the grid.
This means that there has never been a better time for you to install a Solar PV system. Not only will you be significantly reducing your carbon footprint, you'll also be reducing your energy bills and getting paid to do it!

All panels that we supply have at least a 5 year product warranty and a 25 year performance power warranty. Many of our panels also have bypass diodes which are designed to minimise the loss of output should any panel shading occur.
Some customers prefer a panel array which has a minimal impact on the aesthetics of their roof. For this purpose, EvoEnergy provides both low impact solar panels and solar tiles. Consisting of black monocrystalline panels with a black frame and mounting, these solar panels can have much less of a visual impact, particularly on a slate roof or where aesthetics are of paramount importance. The solar tiles can actually be built into the roof and are particularly popular on new-build installations. These can however be incorporated into any roof and will stand out a lot less than other panel choices.
