Scouts
To help The Scout Association achieve their environmental and financial targets, we delivered a ground-mounted solar PV installation. The system supports their broader sustainability strategy by enabling on-site renewable generation. Our approach ensures long-lasting benefits with minimal operational disruption.

Challenge
The site presented several logistical and technical challenges, including a 400-metre cable run from the array to the point of connection.
We also had to coordinate our works with other contractors on-site, all while navigating wet and difficult winter conditions.
To tackle the long-distance cable run efficiently, we specified a 300kW Huawei 800V inverter, which significantly reduced the cable size required—helping to keep installation costs down.

We worked closely with the other contractors on-site to coordinate trenching works effectively.
To integrate the system with the site’s existing infrastructure, we upgraded their electrical setup and installed an 800V/400V transformer to ensure compatibility and long-term reliability.
Our installation for The Scout Association delivers strong environmental and financial benefits.

With a total system size of 444 kWp, the array includes 816 solar panels and generates approximately 419,886 kWh annually—significantly reducing reliance on grid electricity.

The system also saves around 97,833 kg of CO₂ each year, supporting the Scouts’ mission to lead by example in environmental stewardship and community impact.
We’re incredibly pleased with the results of our solar project from EvoEnergy. Their team was knowledgeable, responsive, and dedicated from start to finish. Thanks to their work, we’re now producing our own renewable energy and cutting emissions meaningfully.
