Aston Engineering

Aston Engineering, established in 1983 are a founding member of the Aston Martin Heritage Network, based in Derby they are a premier choice for Aston Martin servicing. When Aston Engineering wanted to cut their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint through renewable energy technology, they looked to EvoEnergy to help deliver the savings that were needed.

The solution came in the form of a 150 panel, 41.2 kWp rooftop array completed in spring 2019. The system required Solaredge inverters due to shading issues from vegetation nearby.

The system is predicted to generate an annual output of 28,000 kWh and save more than 13.5 Tonnes in CO2 consumption for Aston Engineering.

The 150 panel system was installed over 5 days by a five man team of electricians and roofing experts. Whilst the installation was taking place, there was no disruption to day-to-day operations. Challenges faced during the installation were security, due to the high value of the Aston Martin vehicles on site, also during the installation extreme caution had to be taken around these models.

Now up-and-running, the client is happy with the whole installation and the benefits that have so far been realised since the system became energised.
