Overview of the role purpose and objectives: Evoenergy is now in a period of growth and expansion and are currently looking to add to our current team of technicians for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across our portfolio of PV installations. The role will be to attend sites across the country of both residential properties and commercial PV installations that are maintained to ensure system performance remains high, the system is operating safely and the mechanical integrity is sound. Applicants must have a working knowledge of Solar PV systems and be able to offer an experience level of fault finding and rectification skills within the industry with a strong electrical background and qualifications. The position may also be required to support installation teams

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

 Inspections and repairs on Solar PV and other electrical systems from our nationwide portfolio – residential and commercial

 Understanding site plans and layout drawings of the installations

 Understanding and working to Risk Assessments and Method Statements

 Be able to work “on roof” to inspect and work on Solar PV arrays

 Understanding the dangers of working with Solar PV – DC power and principles

 Good electrical knowledge of Solar PV systems to be able to determine faults and issues and fix where possible.  Working in as part of a wider engineering/installation team to meet timescales and deadlines

 Work at height appreciation and safety knowledge

 Ability to lead from the front and take charge of the roof installation with additional labour, working with other team members to ensure compliance with safety, quality and timelines are met.

 Working with service delivery team, Project Managers and other stakeholders to meet contractural requirements, safety, quality standards

 Compiling reports from the sites visited and inspected in a timely manner and follow up with technical advice on recommendations

-Diploma/HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical
- Full clean driving licence
- BS7671 18th edition
- 2391 Inspection and testing
- CSCS/ECS card holder
- Any relevant H&S qualifications

Required
-Good self starter with personal drive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attentive to detail and considerate of implications
- Good time keeper and able to file reports in a timely
manner
