On Friday evening at the East Midlands Celebrating Construction Awards, EvoEnergy picked up a ‘Highly Recommended’ accolade in the ‘Innovation’ category whilst their parent company, Stepnell, also collected the ‘People Development’ winners award.
EvoEnergy submitted an application that supported the recent work completed for DPD at their Hinckley Depot where it was the UK’s first solar PV system to use dynamic export power control with Schneider CL inverts. This innovative solution was in response to a DNO export restraint that demanded zero export compliance, whilst also allowing DPD to install the required size PV system to satisfy their goals for energy generation and CO2 savings onsite.
A bespoke weather station was also installed onsite so that the ongoing performance ratio can be monitored and reported back to the client regularly to demonstrate the efficiency of the system in line with what was delivered and agreed.
The award is the latest to be added to EvoEnergy’s growing list of awards where they recently also won two categories at the Energy Efficiency awards. EvoEnergy will also learn this week if they have been successful for ‘Nottinghamshire Company of the Year’ at the 2017 Nottingham Business Post awards.
