EvoEnergy are proud to announce that they are one of the three finalists at the 2017 Nottingham Post Business awards for the flagship ‘Nottinghamshire Company of the Year’ category.
With 13 award categories to enter, the ‘Nottinghamshire Company of the Year’ category is the headline and most prestige in the competition, attracting the most entries from all over the County across a variety of industries. Browne Jacobson has a long-standing sponsorship of this category and independently judges the entries over a 3-stage elimination process.
Following the initial application of a 3,000 word response to a variety of questions, only ten companies were progressed to the next stage where Browne Jacobson sent representatives to visit each of the shortlisted companies to meet the applicants and learn more about the business in person. Ten companies were then reduced to three finalists, where EvoEnergy were asked to give a 30 minute presentation to Brown Jacobson at the law firm’s Nottingham branch as part of their closing bid to demonstrate excellence in their field and why they should be considered for winning the award.
With the judging process now complete, EvoEnergy are now looking forward to attending the finalists champagne reception at the Alea casino on Tuesday 25th April in addition to finding out the eventual winner of the category at the main awards evening on Wednesday 24th May at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
Previous winners of the Nottingham Post Business Awards ‘Nottinghamshire Company of the Year’ category include Paragon Interiors (2016), Benoy (2015) and Hillary’s Blinds (2014) highlighting the calibre and diverse range of successful companies that enter this category each year.
Jordan Mawbey, Marketing Manager at EvoEnergy, comments:

“We’re extremely proud to be one of the final three in the headline category, particularly as we’ve been up against some of the County’s most elite businesses, which of course is tribute to the great things we’ve achieved here at EvoEnergy.
With the category independently judged by one of the UK’s leading law firms and with an extended, more demanding process than other awards, it’s great that we’ve continued to impress Browne Jacobson at each stage of the competition and demonstrate how we’ve made a significant impact within both our industry and Nottinghamshire”.

EvoEnergy’s application was heavily supported by their ability to innovate and deliver excellence in their field. The local employed workforce also features heavily in EvoEnergy’s success, helping a classic SME deliver energy technology solutions to an unrivaled client portfolio Nationwide from their Attenborough location.
Run in conjunction with Champions (UK) plc, the Nottingham Post Business awards has been running for over 20 years and is the City’s most popular business awards that attracts a lot of sponsorship and publicity.
