Sharing the benefits of solar energy
Solar energy can help all sorts of businesses, households and community groups to lower their running costs and minimise environmental impact. Buildings such as churches, village halls and charity offices are increasingly generating their own energy through solar PV, and we’ve seen whole communities benefit as a result.
EvoEnergy have specialist design and install teams for domestic and commercial installations, and community projects often fall somewhere in between. We’ll be happy to present our proposals to as many of your group as you’d like and are always here to answer questions and address your concerns. We’re also experienced in designing systems for unusual or old buildings.
Installing a solar PV system with EvoEnergy can help you to:
- Save running costs and protect against rising energy prices, freeing up valuable funds
- Generate a tax-free, inflation linked income from feed-in tariff payments
- Demonstrate your commitment to lowering carbon emissions
- Unite community groups by moving towards a shared goal
- Inspire local businesses and residents to follow your good example
Free energy and a funding boost for St Arvans
The memorial hall at St Arvans, Monmouthshire has been a vital part of the local community for over 90 years. Aided by a grant from the Monmouthshire Local Services Board, the hall committee decided to install a solar PV system in May 2011.
The installation is expected to generate over 3,000kWh over the course of the year and will make a significant contribution to running costs, now and in the future. The committee decided they wanted to be able to monitor the energy produced with a meter, which has created a big talking point in the community and made local families much more aware of the need for renewable energy.
