Feed-In Tariffs in LawApril 12, 2010 12:38 pm
The Energy Bill received Royal Assent on 9th April, becoming the Energy Act 2010. The clean energy cash back scheme, commonly called the Feed-In Tariff, is now in the statute books meaning people can be confident that their investment is not only green, but an excellent investment.
With cross party support and only minor rework in the Lords the bill was, to the intents and purposes of the Feed-in tariff, identical to that expected after DECC’s February announcement.
It might have taken a long time in coming, but well done to everyone involved at DECC.
