EvoEnergy are pleased to announce that they are finalists for the forthcoming 2017 Solar Power Portal awards in two categories: ‘Commercial Rooftop PV Installation of the Year’ and ‘Contractor of the Year’. The winners will be announced on 4th October during the evening ceremony held at the NEC Hilton as part of the busy agenda for the well attended Solar & Storage Live event (3rd-5th October).
The innovative 999.9 kWp solar install for DPD, completed in December 2016, was submitted by EvoEnergy to claim a place amongst five other finalists in the commercial rooftop category. The diverse range of installations in the category this year is a strong indicator that the industry is still continuing to deliver a variety of solar projects all over the UK in a range of sectors, despite the tough conditions of late following the recent subsidy cuts.
EvoEnergy have also submitted a strong case to earn a place as a finalist in the ‘Contractor of the Year’ category having driven a lot of the innovation in the industry last year.
With a number of industry awards reaching as far back as 2011, EvoEnergy have not been strangers to award events in 2017 having won two awards in March at the Energy Efficiency Awards and a highly commended accolade in May at the Celebrating Construction Awards. Earlier this year, EvoEnergy were pleased to be one of the top 3 finalists in Nottingham’s prestige Nottingham Post awards for the flagship category ‘Nottinghamshire Company of the Year’.
Lyreco’s 3.8 MWp array, installed by EvoEnergy in 2015/16 has so far won the company a number of environmental awards for their investment and commitment to sustainability. Another of EvoEnergy’s clients, DPD, have also begun to receive award recognition for their investment in solar and sustainability with the PV arrays at Oldbury and Hinckley earning them a finalist place at the 2017 Logistics awards under the Environmental/Sustainability category; this award event will take place in September.
